The cord connecting the earphone to the receiver
acts as an antenna during FM reception and shou-
ld be extended as much as possible to increase
FM sensitivity.
A built-in Ferrite Bar Antenna is provided for AM
reception and it is only necessary to rotate the radio
for maximum signal strength during AM listening.

M. Lock Switch
To prevent accidential changing of any of the ra-
dio settings, move the Lock Switch to up po-

sition, LCD display
icon will appear. To relea-
se, simply move the switch to its down position.
It is important to make sure Lock Switch is in its
down position when radio is to be operated , as
radio is completely inoperative until Lock Switch
is released.
If the radio is not to be used for any extended pe-
riod of time battery power savings may be realiz-
ed by setting Lock Switch to On position
during storage.

1. Keep the radio dry. If it does get wet , wipe it im-
mediately. Liquids may contain chemicals that
can corrode electronic circuitry.

2.Use and store your radio only in normal temper-
ature environments. High temperature can shor-
ten the life of electronic devices, damage batte-
ries and melt plastic parts.
3. Handle the radio gently and carefully. Dropping
it can damage circuit boards and cases and ren-
der it defective.
4. Keep the radio away from dust and dirty.
5. Wipe the radio with a damp cloth to keep it look-
ing new. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents
or strong detergents.
6. Use only fresh batteries of the recommended si-
ze and type. Always remove old or weak batteri-
es as they can leak and destroy electronic com-
ponents and circuitry.
